Company History
Carl Hammond offers a fast, efficient, friendly service and can supply beds, mattresses for collection or delivery at your convenience. Many things have changed over the last few years but our friendly service and great value for money remain constant.
Carl Hammond Furnishers is a family-run business established in 1962 by Carl himself. Carl learnt his trade at Cattles Furnishings before saving up enough money to buy a small amount of stock and rent the small ground-floor shop at 355 Hessle Road, Hull, East Yorkshire. After numerous expansions the shop still occupies 355 Hessle Road along with 3 other units, with showrooms on 2 floors.
The Shop at 349-355 Hessle Road was greatly expanded at that time to show all the furniture under one roof. Carl's son, Paul, joined the company 42 years ago. He now runs the business with the help of Joe who joined the company 31 years ago. Paul and Joe have a vast knowledge of the upholstery and bedding trade.

We accept all major credit card payments in store. Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Switch and Solo.
Delivery Service
Large items like beds and suites require a specialst delivery service which we will provide with your purchase if required.
